The story behind the code – How it all started
A Note From Our Founder
Our story began long before its official founding. It goes back to 1984, when my father gifted me an Apple IIc, a gesture that planted the seed for a lifelong love of technology.
Years later, while studying Civil Engineering, the arrival of the internet in Colombia felt like discovering a new universe. Fascinated, I began teaching myself to program, a choice that changed everything.
Although I graduated as a civil engineer, my path shifted to programming. After moving to the U.S., a decade of work with brands like Coca-Cola, CVS, Nestle and Mattel refined my skills and shaped my vision for what was next.
In 2009, I founded Techtivo to turn purposeful ideas into real, scalable solutions. Sixteen years later, we’ve launched more than a thousand projects and built a team driven by integrity, curiosity, and passion.
Today, as we explore the potential and evolution of the internet, I feel the same spark I did back then. The tools may change, but the spirit to learn, create, and build something meaningful stays the same.
